In a finished interior a socket is a cut-out with a faceplate over it, so the decision is positional. This is a double 240V AC fitting.
- Double socket, 220-240V 50/60Hz
- Fed from the inverter or the shore power supply
- Two outlets on one plate, so fewer openings in the panelling
Where it lands should follow use. Put it at the end of the galley run or beside a work surface, at a height clear of any trim and window covering, and confirm the 240V cable reaches that point before the panel is fixed. A recess or pattress behind it keeps the fitting flush instead of standing proud of the wall.
It sits alongside the rest of the fit-out hardware, in the same electrical works that go into the van.
Can it go in a wall with insulation behind it?
Yes. Allow for the depth of the fitting and keep the cable clear of the insulation.
