Where the waste leaves the van is a layout decision as much as a plumbing one. A camlock outlet on a 25mm dump needs a clear line to the ground and room to get a hand in.

Plan the point on the outside of the van while the interior is still being framed, so the tank and the line behind it have somewhere to go. Choose it while the framing is open and the waste line has a straight path to it. Leave a hand-width of clear panel around the outlet for the hose and the locking arms.

No. The coupling is on the outside; inside there is just the waste line.
